CASS x The Crucible : Supporting The Fuego Youth Leadership Program
This week, we hosted interns from The Crucible's Fuego Youth Leadership Program for a behind-the-scenes tour of our facility. Their energy, curiosity, and creativity reminded us exactly why this partnership matters.
The Fuego Program gives young people real opportunities to build confidence, master technical skills, and discover the power of working with their hands. Whether forging metal, welding sculptures, or creating functional art, these students learn lessons that extend far beyond any classroom.
After the tour, some of the Fuego interns were given the opportunity to select materials from our facility to use in a project that will be showcased at the program’s final exhibition. This initiative, launched several years ago, gives new life to materials from our operations while supporting sustainability, creativity, and hands-on education all at once.
Watching students thoughtfully choose their materials with caution and curiosity reminded us of the role we can all play in nurturing future makers and leaders. What might be obsolete materials to one becomes a spark of inspiration to another and that transformation is worth investing in.
For 14 years, we've proudly supported The Crucible, witnessing firsthand how creativity and craftsmanship can transform both materials and lives. This partnership embodies everything we believe in: that sustainable practices strengthen communities, that skilled hands build brighter futures, and that when we invest in young people, we invest in tomorrow.
As an aluminum manufacturer and metal recycler, we see our role extending far beyond production. We're stewards of resources, champions of education, and partners in a movement that proves sustainability and community impact go hand in hand!
