CASS Releases 2024 Sustainability Report: Impact Through Excellence
CASS is pleased to share our 2024 Sustainability Report, highlighting our progress in environmental performance, safety, and community impact over the past year.
As both a metal recycling company and aluminum manufacturer, we take seriously our responsibility to operate in ways that benefit the communities we serve and the environment we all share.
Our operations diverted 268.9 million pounds of material from landfills, manufacturing 100 million pounds of aluminum from 99% recycled content. We achieved a 38% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions through operational improvements and completed our transition to renewable diesel across our Oakland fleet.
Our chlorine-free aluminum processes continue to set us apart, creating safer working conditions while maintaining the quality our customers depend on. We maintained our membership in ReMA's Circle of Safety Excellence™ and completed our first comprehensive greenhouse gas inventory across all scopes.
