Our Story
The Past
CASS has been a leader in closed-loop metal recycling and aluminum manufacturing since 1969. Founded by Chal Sulprizio, who purchased Associated Metals in Oakland and renamed it Custom Alloy Scrap Sales, the company began as a small nonferrous scrap processor with just six employees and a 2,000lb sweat furnace. Chal’s lifelong dedication to the company laid the solid foundation that remains at the core of who we are today.
