Investing in the Future Leaders of Manufacturing

On May 29th 2025, CASS had the opportunity to attend Cal Poly’s 49th Annual Industrial & Manufacturing Engineering (IME) Department Banquet at the Madonna Inn and we left feeling inspired. We were proud to sponsor a table this year, but our support for Cal Poly’s IME program has been ongoing. For years, we’ve donated aluminum materials used in their casting courses; materials that help students learn by doing, designing, and building.

It’s part of our belief that the next generation of engineers, fabricators, and systems thinkers will play a critical role in shaping a more sustainable industrial future.

We’re excited to explore new ways to share the journey these materials take, from casting labs to real-world products that make an impact. It’s a story of circularity, innovation, and partnership.

The IME students and recent grads we met were sharp, curious, and genuinely interested in learning more about the aluminum industry, sustainability, and what careers in manufacturing can look like. Their enthusiasm reminded us why this work matters—and why it’s worth continuing to invest in education and opportunity.

To the Class of 2025, we wish you the very best!
