Celebrating Fleet Week 2024: A Bay Area Tradition in the Skies

As Fleet Week returns to the Bay Area on Friday, October 11, 2024, we’re reminded of how lucky we are to call this stunning region home, where our Oakland Metal Recycling & Manufacturing facility proudly operates as our headquarters. Fleet Week, runs from Friday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13, 2024. Set against the stunning backdrop of San Francisco’s waterfront, this annual celebration brings together military and civilian communities to honor our armed forces, showcase incredible aircraft, and enjoy some of the best aerial performances in the world.

As a company that works with sustainable metals, we take pride in knowing that the aluminum and other metals we recycle may one day contribute to the production of advanced technologies, including those used in aerospace. Whether it’s for aircraft components, engines, or structural parts, aluminum plays a critical role in creating high-performance, lightweight materials for aviation.

Beyond the awe-inspiring performances, Fleet Week gives us a moment to appreciate the strong connection between innovation, industry, and the service members who protect and serve. The metal we recycle at CASS supports a range of industries, and we’re proud to think that our work contributes in some small way to the advancements seen in aerospace technologies.
