CASS Supports Urban Compassion Project’s Emergency Response
When Urban Compassion Project put out a call for an emergency cleanup at the illegal dump site on 26th & Peralta, CASS was ready to roll! We showed up with heavy duty equipment, volunteers, and enthusiasm for the task ahead. This was exactly the kind of community challenge where we could take action and contribute meaningfully.
UCP's passion for transforming compromised spaces into clean, safe, and respected community areas reflects a deep pride in Oakland and a desire for a higher standard of living for our community. We were excited to support this movement UCP has inspired and their energy for bringing people together around this cause.
There's much more work ahead and CASS is committed to showing up with action, not just words. Meaningful change happens when we take action as a community!
