Back to the Roots with Acta Non Verba (ANV)

The CASS team had the opportunity to attend Camp for Grown Folx V: Back to the Roots, hosted by our community partners at Acta Non Verba (Action Not Words) at the West Oakland Farm Park.

As proud Summer Squash Sponsors, we were excited to support an event that brought together community, creativity, music, food, and a shared commitment to creating opportunities for local youth and families across Oakland and the East Bay.

The weather was beautiful, the energy was positive, and it was amazing to see the farm park activated by ANV’s mission and the people who continue to support it. Events like this are an important reminder of what strong communities look like when organizations, local businesses, and neighbors come together with a shared purpose.

Acta Non Verba continues to make a meaningful impact through accessible urban farm spaces, youth programs, CSA produce boxes, outdoor education, and hands-on experiences that connect young people to healthy living, nutrition, and the natural environment.

At CASS, we believe strong communities are built through partnership, opportunity, and long term investment in people. We are proud to support organizations like ANV that are helping shape a stronger future for Oakland and beyond.

Thank you to the entire ANV team for putting together such a memorable event, and thank you to everyone who attended and supported the cause. We are already looking forward to next year!
