🏆 2025 California Metals Coalition (CMC) Leadership Award
We’re proud to share a moment that means a great deal to all of us at CASS: Edward B. Kangeter IV, our President & CEO, has been awarded the 2025 Leadership Award by the California Metals Coalition (CMC)! This isn’t just any award—it’s one of the highest honors in California’s metal industry. Since its creation in 2010, it has only been presented twice before. Now, Edward joins a truly distinguished group of leaders who’ve helped shape the future of metals in California.
Edward began his journey at CASS in 2006, and under his leadership, our Oakland-based company has grown into an industry leader in recycling and manufacturing chlorine-free aluminum alloys right here in the U.S.
He’s served as a long-time board member of the California Metals Coalition, and in 2017, was elected as its 24th President—where he helped champion industry collaboration, advocacy, and growth. Today, he continues to serve as President Emeritus, always pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in sustainable metals.
We couldn’t be more proud to see his contributions recognized on such a meaningful stage. Congratulations, Edward—and thank you for leading with heart, integrity, and a commitment to doing things the right way. His example inspires all of us on the CASS team to grow, lead, and serve with purpose and sets the standard not just for our team, but for the entire industry.
